Are you feeling isolated at home? Struggling to find privacy for therapy sessions or simply need a change of scenery? Walk and Talk Therapy could be just what you need.

This refreshing approach allows you to engage in therapy while walking in nature, whether it’s a local park or a peaceful outdoor setting.

If traditional therapy in an office setting feels intimidating or uncomfortable, Walk and Talk Therapy provides a relaxed and private alternative that brings you closer to the outdoors, making therapy more accessible, calming, and effective.

Why Choose Walk and Talk Therapy?

Privacy and Comfort: If you don’t have a private space at home or feel that sitting in a therapist’s office is too formal, Walk and Talk Therapy offers the freedom to speak openly in a safe, natural environment.

Combatting Loneliness: If you’re feeling isolated or disconnected, walking together offers emotional support and a physical presence, which can help reduce loneliness and anxiety.

A Natural, Calming Environment: Nature is proven to reduce stress, boost mood, and improve mental well-being. Walking outdoors makes it easier to talk about tough topics while enjoying the calming effects of nature.

Encourages Movement and Motivation: If leaving the house feels like a struggle, combining therapy with a walk can provide the motivation you need. Walking helps boost your energy and provides the momentum to take steps toward better mental health.

Holistic Healing: Walking combines physical activity with mental reflection. Exercise helps reduce anxiety, increase endorphins, and promote clarity, making it easier to open up and feel more relaxed during your session.

Flexible Locations—Including Virtual Walks: Can’t meet in person? No worries! We can still do Walk and Talk Therapy virtually, where we each walk in different outdoor spaces while connecting through video. This way, you still enjoy the benefits of walking outdoors while receiving the support you need.

Who Can Benefit?

People Without Privacy at Home: If you don’t have a private space at home, Walk and Talk Therapy offers the perfect solution. You can talk freely in nature, away from distractions.

Those Feeling Isolated or Anxious: If you’re struggling with loneliness or anxiety, walking side-by-side with a therapist provides support, connection, and a way to feel more grounded.

Anyone Needing a Motivational Push: If you’re feeling low on energy or struggling to get out of the house, therapy combined with walking encourages movement and provides motivation to make progress.

Those Looking for a Less Formal Therapy Setting: If traditional therapy feels intimidating, walking in a natural space can provide a more relaxed environment. It’s perfect for those who want a less formal setting for therapy.

How It Works

Walk and Talk Therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes, tailored to your individual needs. We’ll meet at an agreed location, such as a local park, nature reserve, or any outdoor space that works best for you. During the session, you’ll walk and talk at your own pace, providing a relaxed environment where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings.

For clients who can’t meet in person, I also offer virtual Walk and Talk Therapy sessions. You’ll choose your own natural space to walk in, while we stay connected through video. This is similar to an online therapy session but with the added benefit of both of us being outdoors at the same time.
